On this page you’ll find pricing guides for all our funeral services. If we arrange your funeral, we’ll talk through costings and ensure you’ve explored all options that might be suitable for you.
As part of our service, we’ll chat with you about all third-party costs, so you know exactly what you’re paying for. We will provide you with an esitmate that outlines all fees in advance.

TRADITIONAL BURIAL
This is a pricing guide for a traditional funeral service where the person who’s died is buried – either in a new or existing burial plot, or by having their remains interred.
This is a full funeral service, including a service at a place of worship or other venue, attended by friends, family and mourners.
THIS SERVICE INCLUDES:
- Bringing the person who’s died into our care
- Viewing the person in our chapel of rest
- A full funeral service provided by the funeral director and staff
- Escort by hearse and limousine to the service and graveside
- A traditional graveside burial service
- Minister or celebrant fees
- Doctor’s fees
- Completion of all relevant legal documentation

TRADITIONAL CREMATION
This is a pricing guide for a traditional funeral service where the person who’d died is brought to a crematorium for cremation.
This is a full funeral service, including a service at a place of worship or other venue, attended by friends, family and mourners.
THIS SERVICE INCLUDES:
- Bringing the person who’s died into our care
- Viewing the person in our chapel of rest
- A full funeral service provided by the funeral director and staff
- Escort by hearse and limousine to the service and graveside
- A traditional graveside burial service

DIRECT CREMATION
This price guide is for our direct cremation service, where the person who’s died is brought to the crematorium for cremation.
Although this option does not include a service that people can attend, the person who’s died still receives our characteristic care and is treated with the utmost respect as they are escorted to the crematorium.
THIS SERVICE INCLUDES:
- Bringing the person who’s died into our care
- Preparing the person who’s died
- Laying them in a simple coffin
- Escort by hearse to the crematorium
- A non-attended cremation service
- Crematorium fees
- Doctor’s fees
- Completion of all relevant legal documentation
SERVICE COST:
£995 (Paid in advance)
If the person who has died is to be collected outside of standard hours, an additional charge of £100 will be required. We ask that all our third-party costs such as celebrants fees or floral tributes be paid for prior to the funeral taking place. The remainder of the funeral account is then requested with 14 days from the date of the invoice.
REDUCED RATE CREMATION SERVICE
In some cases, Simpson & Wilde are able to offer a reduced rate cremation service.
THIS SERVICE INCLUDES:
- Bringing the person who’s died into our care within standard hours
- Completion of relevant documentation
- A simple coffin
- A hearse and bearers
- Escorting the person directly to a local place of committal
- Crematorium fees and the medical cremation certificate fees

The date and time of the service may be restricted and all fees are payable in advance.
